Our outstanding Early Years day nursery class is the best way to get your little one prepared for their first year at primary school. We offer personal, social and emotional development skills, which encourages children to learn to share and show compassion for their classmates. We believe these are essentials skills for children to learn before they start school as they will be put into a class with a lot more children who will all be in a new and strange environment. We try to encourage children to always say please and thank you when sharing toys and asking questions so it quickly becomes a natural habit for them.
We also start to focus on the early lessons in mathematics and literacy, just so your children have the basic skills when it comes to understanding the lessons throughout their first school years. Literacy encourages the young ones to begin reading as it not only widens their vocabulary but helps prepare them for small doses of homework. We like to make our mathematics a bit more fun than just 1+1, which is why we use tools that we know will catch the children’s attention, whether that be using cookies to add or taking away toys in subtractions.
You can relax knowing all our full-time staff hare completely qualified to the levels of Level 3 Diploma, B.Tech. or N.V.Q. Level 3. We always ensure they are regularly trained and their knowledge is updated in key areas such as first aid, child protection and equal opportunities.
